Browser script execution via unescaped stored fields
Published May 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in GLPI before 9.4.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a privileged user's browser through crafted data. The knowledge-base comment view reverses XSS cleaning, while config.class.php echoes the User-Agent raw and DbUtils::formatUserName inserts an unescaped real name into an HTML title attribute. Exploitation requires stored content to be rendered and, for the username path, a privileged user to open the ticket and hover over the crafted name.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
