SQL injection via unescaped ORM query values
Published Apr 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Tortoise ORM before 0.15.23 and 0.16.0 through 0.16.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The MySQL value wrapper fails to escape backslashes and quotes, while queryset LIKE helpers interpolate wildcard-bearing filter text without escaping. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled text into affected filters or mass updates, enabling queries to read or modify rows available to the application's database account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
