Authenticated XSS via unsanitized web request
Published May 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019 allows remote authenticated users to run script via a crafted request. The web-request handling path returns attacker-controlled input without proper sanitization; Microsoft has not identified the endpoint or parameter. Exploitation requires SharePoint authentication and victim interaction, and the script can read unauthorized content or act as the victim.
