Data disclosure and service interruption via GPX XXE
Published Mar 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in OsmAnd 2.0.0 and earlier allows attackers to read local data or interrupt service through a crafted GPX file. BinaryMapIndexReader.readGPX creates a default DocumentBuilderFactory and parses the supplied XML without disabling external entity resolution. The file must reach the GPX parsing path; no integrity impact is reported.
