User redirection via frameable sign-in pages
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Clickjacking in Western Digital Cloud Home and ibi portal websites before 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to redirect user clicks. The sign-in pages permit framing because they lack X-Frame-Options restrictions, allowing hostile content to overlay the portal and induce an unintended click. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled framing content and click; the documented consequence is navigation to an attacker-chosen destination.
