Authentication bypass via unauthenticated SSH port forwarding
Published Mar 25, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in TP-Link Archer A7 firmware 190726 allows remote attackers to access resources protected from the WAN interface. The initial-setup handler establishes SSH port-forwarding rules before authenticating the request. No account is required, and successful exploitation exposes otherwise WAN-restricted resources without reported code execution.
