Buffer overflow in Samsung mobile device baseband software before February 2020 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The CP message decoder processes input without a proper boundary check, allowing a message to overflow a baseband buffer. A device with a select Exynos modem chipset is required; no authentication or user interaction precedes baseband code execution.
