Administrator-browser script execution via unsanitized password parameter
Published Mar 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Nagios XI 5.6.11 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute script via LDAP/AD settings. The LDAP/AD integration component returns the submitted password value in a web response without neutralizing executable markup. Administrator authentication and browser interaction are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied script in that authenticated browser context.
