Process crash via crafted GIF decompression

Heap-based buffer overflow in HDF5 through 1.12.0 allows local users to crash gif2h5 by supplying a crafted GIF file. Decompress in hl/tools/gif2h5/decompress.c processes malformed GIF data without preventing writes past its allocated heap buffer. The attacker must cause a user to run gif2h5 on the file; the reported consequence is a process crash, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
