Unauthenticated database disclosure via path traversal
Published May 7, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in the web interface of Gira TKS-IP-Gateway 4.0.7.7 allows remote attackers to download the application database. The interface fails to confine crafted file paths, exposing /app/db/gira.db and /app/sdintern/messages; the vulnerable endpoint and parameter are not published. No authentication is required; disclosed passwords permit administrative sign-in and control of connected devices, while root access requires chaining a separate flaw.
