CVE-2020-1075

Memory disclosure via improperly handled WSL objects

Published May 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 19, 2026

Information disclosure in WSL on affected Windows 10 and Windows Server releases allows local users to read memory via a crafted application. Microsoft states only that WSL improperly handles memory objects and has not disclosed the affected function, object type, or faulty operation. Exploitation requires a local low-privileged user to run the application; disclosed data can support further compromise.
