CVE-2020-10740Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unfiltered EJB deserialization

Published Jun 22, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Unsafe deserialization in WildFly Application Server before 20.0.0.Final allows remote authenticated users to execute code through EJB. WildFly accepts serialized objects received by applications through remote JNDI or EJB features without applying validation or deserialization filters. Reachability requires an application using the affected JNDI or EJB features and access accepted by the configured remoting security realm; successful exploitation compromises the server process.
