Elevated code execution via crafted object request
Published May 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Remote code execution in Microsoft Windows allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary code with elevated permissions. Microsoft discloses only that Windows mishandles objects in memory when processing a crafted request; the component and incorrect operation remain undisclosed. A domain user account and user interaction are required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code with elevated permissions.
