CVE-2020-10615Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via DNP3 stack overflow

Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway 2.41.0213 through 4.0.122 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. DNP3 GET_FILE_INFO handling copies user-supplied data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. No authentication is required on a reachable DNP3 service; the CNA-confirmed consequence is availability loss, while ZDI separately reports SYSTEM-context code execution.
