Information disclosure via DNP3 descriptor out-of-bounds read
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Triangle MicroWorks SCADA Data Gateway 2.41.0213 through 4.0.122 allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive data. Data Set descriptor handling fails to validate supplied data before reading beyond the end of an allocated structure. The path requires no authentication and exists only when DNP3 Data Sets are enabled; direct impact is memory disclosure, while code execution requires other flaws.
