CVE-2020-10560Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file read via predictable SiteKey

Published Mar 30, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Arbitrary file read in Open Source Social Network through 5.3 allows remote attackers to read webserver-accessible files via crafted URLs. The ossn_com.php and ossn.lib.upgrade.php paths accept an attacker-controlled absolute file path after SiteKey validation, while predictable rand() output permits SiteKey recovery. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation requires brute-forcing the SiteKey; disclosure is limited to files readable by the webserver account.
