Network-device credential disclosure via unescaped searchColumn
Published Jun 4, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in rConfig 3.9.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to read database data through an unauthenticated web request. The web-facing compliancepolicyelements.inc.php endpoint inserts the attacker-controlled searchColumn value into an SQL query without escaping, parameterization, or a prepared-statement placeholder. No account is required, and a crafted UNION query can disclose stored device IP addresses, usernames, passwords, and enable passwords, enabling access to managed network devices.
