Password recovery via unsalted MD5 hashes

Weak password storage in Epikur before 20.1.1 allows local users with database access to recover user passwords offline. Epikur writes each user password to its database as a fast, unsalted MD5 digest, so identical passwords produce reusable hashes. Database access is required, and recovery exposes plaintext credentials without altering records or interrupting service.
