Administrator access via passwordless management console
Published Feb 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in Epikur before 20.1.1 allows remote attackers on the local network to access GlassFish as administrator. The bundled GlassFish 4.1 server exposes its administrative console on TCP port 4848 with the administrator account configured without a password. Reachability requires access to the local network interface, after which administrative control permits reading or changing server-managed data and interrupting the service.
