Unauthenticated credential disclosure via domain-list API
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in WatchGuard Fireware AD Helper before 5.8.5.10317 allows remote attackers to read Active Directory credentials. The unauthenticated /rest/domains/list API response includes plaintext usernames and passwords for every configured Windows domain controller. Network access to AD Helper on port 8080 is sufficient, exposing accounts whose documented permissions can include remote command execution and software installation.
