Comment approval via missing CSRF protection
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
CSRF in Chadha PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote attackers to approve arbitrary comments through an administrator's browser. admin/manage-comments.php accepts state-changing GET requests with attacker-supplied cid and action=approve values without anti-CSRF validation. A logged-in Superuser must load attacker-controlled content; successful exploitation changes comment approval status but does not disclose data or interrupt service.
