Article-template creation via missing CSRF protection
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Chadha PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows attackers to create article templates through the admin panel. The admin/add-template.php handler accepts title, content, visibility, and save fields from a cross-origin POST without verifying an anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated Superuser to load attacker-controlled content; the forged request then creates an attacker-chosen template.
