Administrator script execution via unescaped sort parameter
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Chadha PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the sort parameter. The admin/manage-tickets.php page reflects the sort GET parameter into its HTML response without neutralizing markup, so a crafted value becomes executable browser content. Exploitation requires Superuser access and user interaction with a crafted ticket-management request, and the script runs in the affected administrator's browser context.
