Authenticated script execution via unescaped article parameter
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through edit-article.php. The page places the GET parameter p into its HTML response without neutralizing a crafted attribute-closing payload. A Superuser or Editor must open an existing article for editing, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied script in that user's browser.
