Superuser-context script execution via unescaped p parameter
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted template-editor URL. The admin/edit-template.php page reflects the p query value into its HTML response without neutralizing markup, causing a crafted value to execute as script. Exploitation requires Superuser access and interaction with the crafted URL; the demonstrated effect is script execution in that browser session.
