Authenticated script execution via unescaped report URI
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Chadha PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary script via a crafted report URL. The admin/header.php component reflects URI data into admin/report-article-monthly.php without output encoding, so a question mark followed by attacker HTML or script is rendered in the response. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrative session and victim interaction with the crafted link; impact is browser-context access to page data and actions, without evidence of server-side code execution.
