Authenticated reflected XSS via unescaped request URI
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted admin/import-html.php URI. The check-authority.php code derives lang_header from the final REQUEST_URI segment, and admin/header.php emits that value unescaped into an onclick JavaScript argument. Writer, Editor, or Superuser access and a victim opening the crafted URI are required; the script runs within the victim's PHPKB origin.
