Authenticated script execution via unsanitized request URI
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in PHPKB Standard Multi-Language 9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through article-collaboration.php. The shared admin/header.php template inserts the final segment of the unfiltered request URI into an inline event handler after check-authority.php copies it from REQUEST_URI. A Superuser, Editor, or Writer account and interaction by a user who opens the crafted URI are required, allowing script execution in that user's browser context.
