Session takeover via stored Location-field JavaScript
Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Ramp AltitudeCDN Altimeter before 2.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in users' browsers. The createOrEditValueForKey datastore endpoint stores the ipmapping.jsp Location value without neutralizing script markup, which runs when the page is revisited. Authentication is required to save the payload, and execution in another application user's browser enables authenticated-session control and unauthorized application actions.
