Data theft and privilege escalation via USB boot
Published Jun 24, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Improper boot control in Mobile Industrial Robots MiR100 2.8.1.1 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to read or alter data. USB boot is enabled by default, so a live operating-system image can mount the robot's hard drive without enforcement by the installed system. Physical access is required; an attacker can extract the shadow file or add a local account with sudo privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
