Robot takeover via unauthenticated ROS interfaces
Published Jun 24, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Missing authentication in ROS interfaces on Mobile Industrial Robots MiR100 2.8.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to control the robot. The ros-master and ros-bridge expose the ROS computational graph without authentication on wired and robot-hosted wireless interfaces. Network access to those interfaces is required; commands can control or stop the robot and exfiltrate data, while the emergency stop remains unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
