CVE-2020-1018Network attack vector

Masked-field disclosure via chart-page rendering

Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central/NAV on-premises allows remote attackers to read masked chart-page fields. The Windows client rendering engine fails to recognize masked fields when records are rendered as a chart page and displays their underlying values. Network reachability to an affected deployment is sufficient; exposure is limited to values that the application marks as masked.
