Browser data disclosure via stored script execution
Published Apr 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the embedded web server of discontinued Lexmark devices allows remote authenticated users to expose browser data. Lexmark has not published the affected request, storage field, or output sink that renders attacker-controlled content without safe neutralization. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction, and the resulting script can disclose session credentials and other information available to the browser.
