Incorrect access control in GitLab 7.10 through 12.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to access a protected group without required 2FA. The group-invitation acceptance path fails to update the invited user's 2FA requirement after membership becomes active. An affected account must accept an invitation to a group that enforces 2FA; group access then proceeds without second-factor enrollment.
