Remote code execution via improper object handling
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in the Microsoft Jet Database Engine in affected Windows releases allows attackers to execute arbitrary code. Microsoft states only that the engine improperly handles objects in memory and has not published the affected parser, object type, or invalid operation. Exploitation requires user interaction and local processing, and successful exploitation runs code in the invoking application's security context.
