Remote code execution in Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and 2019 allows remote authenticated users to run code via a crafted application package. The application-package validation path fails to check source markup before accepting an uploaded package. A user must be able to upload the package; successful exploitation executes arbitrary code under the SharePoint application pool and server farm accounts.
