CVE-2020-0937

Memory disclosure via out-of-bounds Media Foundation read

Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in Microsoft Windows Media Foundation allows attackers to read memory through a crafted input file. A specially crafted input file triggers an out-of-bounds read when Media Foundation loads it, exposing memory outside the intended object. A victim must load the file; the documented impact is disclosure without modification or service interruption.
