Authenticated script execution via unsanitized web request
Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Feb 28, 2025
Reflected cross-site scripting in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 SP1, 2016, and 2019 allows remote authenticated users to execute script. SharePoint reflects attacker-controlled content from a specially crafted web request without correct output sanitization; Microsoft has not disclosed the endpoint or parameter. Exploitation requires a victim to interact with the crafted content and exposes browser-accessible data or actions within that victim's SharePoint session.
