Cleartext transmission in Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 15.1 through 15.8 and 2019 16.0 through 16.3 allows remote attackers to spoof replies. Visual Studio places a reply URL on an unencrypted connection instead of requiring SSL, exposing the reply to interception and origin impersonation. Exploitation requires access to the cleartext network exchange, and the published impact is limited to disclosure of reply data.
