Remote code execution via GDI memory corruption
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Memory corruption in Microsoft Windows GDI allows remote attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open crafted graphical content. Microsoft has not disclosed which GDI routine mishandles the in-memory object or the exact invalid operation performed on that input. User interaction is required, and successful exploitation runs code with the affected user's privileges.
