Privilege escalation in Microsoft Windows AppX Deployment Server allows local users to delete chosen files or folders through a junction. The service follows an attacker-created junction during privileged file operations and deletes content at the redirected path instead of the intended AppX path. Low-privileged code execution on the target is required, and successful exploitation can interrupt the system by destroying service-accessible data.
