Information disclosure in Microsoft Windows Modules Installer Service allows local users to read protected files through a crafted manifest. The TrustedInstaller-hosted ISxsStore interface checks the wrapper's SYSTEM token instead of the caller's token, then follows junction-controlled manifest source paths while copying assemblies into WinSxS. Any local unprivileged account can use the exposed COM interface to copy an otherwise unreadable file into a readable location; no integrity or availability impact is demonstrated.
