CVE-2020-0713Network attack vector

Remote code execution via incorrect home-object offset

Published Feb 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Memory corruption in Microsoft Edge Legacy and ChakraCore allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted JavaScript objects. The GenerateLdHomeObj JIT lowering path selects an incorrect home-object offset for cross-site function objects and accesses memory outside the intended object layout. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled content and can execute code in the affected process.
