Administrative rights via transitive trust TGT delegation
Published Feb 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Elevation of privilege in Microsoft Active Directory forest trusts allows remote attackers to gain administrative rights in a trusting domain. A default forest-trust setting lets the attacker-controlled forest request delegation of a TGT for an identity in the trusted forest. Exploitation requires control of a transitively trusted forest and grants administrator access on a computer in a domain that trusts it.
