Published Feb 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Denial of service in Microsoft Windows and Windows Server RDP allows remote attackers to interrupt Remote Desktop service with crafted requests. Microsoft identifies only specially crafted RDP requests and has not published the parsing or state-management error that mishandles them. RDP must be enabled and network-reachable; exploitation affects availability by interrupting the service, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
