Elevation of privilege in Windows Media Service on affected Microsoft Windows releases allows local users to create files in arbitrary locations. Microsoft's public record identifies the component and arbitrary-location file write but does not disclose the responsible code path or input-handling error. An attacker must first log on to the system, and successful exploitation elevates privileges through the file-creation primitive.
