CVE-2020-0600

Local privilege escalation via undisclosed buffer restriction

Published Apr 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper buffer restrictions in Intel NUC firmware allow local users with authenticated access to escalate privileges on affected devices. Intel has not disclosed the affected firmware routine, the buffer involved, or the operation that exceeds its intended bounds. Exploitation requires local authenticated access and high-complexity conditions; success elevates authority beyond the user's existing privileges.
