Physical privilege escalation and disclosure via block misconfiguration

Improper configuration in Intel MAX 10 FPGA all versions allows physically proximate attackers to disclose information and gain privileges. The vendor identifies an improper block-design configuration but does not disclose the specific erroneous setting or JTAG operation that enables the flaw. The published description requires an authenticated user with physical device access; exposure is greatest when JTAG Secure Mode is disabled, especially when user flash memory is unencrypted.
