Local privilege escalation via out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 12, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Intel Graphics Drivers before 15.36.38.5117 allows local users to elevate privileges or interrupt service. Intel identifies the flaw only as an out-of-bounds write and has not published the affected driver module, input path, or erroneous write operation. A locally authenticated, low-privilege user must reach the driver; successful exploitation permits protected-state modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
