Remote information disclosure via truncated NFC command
Published Jun 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android 10 NFC tag emulation allows remote attackers to disclose process memory via a truncated SELECT command. ce_t4t_process_select_file_cmd reads the Lc byte and file ID before its caller verifies that the APDU contains the required header and two-byte file ID. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated crafted NFC transmission, needs no user interaction, and is limited to confidentiality impact.
